Superbowl Speedway Weekly 2010 Procedures

Fun:  We want everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves.

Sign In:  Each person must sign their own names on the pit sign in sheets, per INSURANCE REGULATIONS.

Car Numbers:  There will be NO 4-digit car numbers.  Three digit car numbers will be limited.  Letters are now allowed.

ATV‘s:  No one under the age of 16 may operate any vehicle in the pits, (ex. Mules, golf carts, 4 wheelers ect. . .) There is a 5 mph speed limit.

Packing Track:  Every car will go to the infield then you will make a minimum of 10 packing laps.  Any car not doing so will go to the rear of every race that night.

Flags: GREEN - Race, RED & YELLOW - Stop racing & slow down, BLACK - Leave the track, RED - Stop.

Black Flags:  We do have flags and will use them.  If you drive over your head and take, someone out you will go to the pits.

Starts:  Race will start as cars some out of turn 4.  If leaders do not stay even, they will be given a second chance.  If they cannot have a good start the second time, they will switch with the next row of cars.

Restarts:  Restarts will be at the green light in turn 4. Leader should pace cars at a moderate speed. Leader will not get on the gas until he/she gets to the middle of turn 3&4. Any race taking 30 minutes may be called or cut short at the promoter’s discretion.

Wrecks:  Anyone stopped on the red & yellow goes to the rear of the race. Example: If someone spins in turn 1 and you spin in turn 4, you both go to the rear, because you were both stopped on a red & yellow.  If you stop to have your pit crew work on your car, you will go to the rear.

* If you spin or stop to avoid a wreck, you will be given your spot back. If you stop to have a track official check on your car i.e. a flat or metal flopping, you will be given your spot back.

Wreckers:  The wrecker service is a privilege the track provides to you. There will be NO Yelling, Cursing, or Screaming, ECT. If there are, any problems with the service see the promoter after the last check flag of the night.

Completed Laps: All cars must cross the finish line for it to be considered a completed lap. Example: There must not be any cars between the start & finish line. If last car is a half lap behind, then the lap is not completed until he/she crosses the finish line.

Rough Driving: Will NOT be tolerated. Clean up your driving or be black-flagged. Any al all unsportsman like conduct will not be tolerated. Any drivers bowered from the track will loss there parking place and car numbers for the season. If you are gone for more then four weeks you loss your parking place and car number. Line Ups: Lines are your responsibility. If you are not lined up ready to go, you miss your race. You will be given one lap around the track and we will start the next time around. If you cause a delay on the start, you will go to the back.
** Once the race is posted, all move straight up, (unless three or more cars drop from the same row, then they crisscross.)
** Only exception is if we leave a car off the line up.

Staging Lane:  All cars should line up in the staging lane. If you are going to scratch from the heat or the A or B main, contact the pit steward.

Alcohol:  During the races, there is NO drinking of any alcoholic beverages in the pits. Anyone seen drinking alcoholic beverage will be removed from the pits and the car they are with will be disqualified for the night.

Pay Window:  The pay window is located at the front ticket office. YOU MUST BRING YOUR PAYCARD TO THE PAY WINDOW. NO MONEY WILL BE RELEASED IF THE FOLLOWING IS NOT PRESENTED. The pay window will close 30 minutes after the last checkered flag.

Restricted Area:  Insurance does not permit participants in restricted areas. Stay behind secondary fences or you will get your car blacked flagged. DO NOT go to the flag stand or judges stand. DO NOT go to another driver’s trailer or car. If you do so, you will be loaded and sent home for the night. Go to the pit stewart and ask to call the promoter tell the pit stewart waht the problem is, he/she will call the promoter and let him help solve the problem.  Must tell the pit steward what is going on.

Tire Changing Lane:  Must change during Red & Yellow during A & B Mains ONLY
    *** Can not change in pit area, only in the tire changing lane itself
You must be back on the track BEFORE the Green comes back on.
    *** If you fail to make it before the Green you may wait till the next caution to return to the track.
You may also change under a Full Red (Only in changing lane)
ALL CARS WILL BE SENT TO THE REAR WHEN THEY RETURN TO THE TRACK
